Men's Results
The 37th running of the Easter Sunday Road Race took place on April 16th 2006. A large crowd turned out on the day to cheer on the over 300 athletes that took part.
The 4 mile race was won by Stephen Sharp, Belgrave Harriers, UK, in a time of 19.09. He was followed home by Gary Thornton, Galway City Harriers, and David Kelly of Sligo.
The ladies race was won by Pauline Curley of Tullamore who previously won in 2003, in a time of 21.39. Second was Sheila Coyle of Drogheda and third was Fiona McGann of Civil Service. Our own Catherine Dunne was 4th.

We also appreciate the continuing support of the local businesses and individuals who sponsor various prizes in the main race and the juvenile races and who take out advertising space in the race programme.
