October, 2007
Meath Intermediate Cross Country Championships - Ballinlough, Oldcastle - 14th October, 2007
Dunboyne finished second to Bohermeen with the team of Donal O'Mathuna, Michael Cornyn, Sean Kinnane and Tony O'Neill.
Meath Novice and Masters Cross Country Championships - Stamullen - 7th October, 2007
16 senior athletes from Dunboyne A.C. took part in the event. Pride of place went to Morgan McDonagh who finished in 3rd place in the Novices race. He led home the team to 2nd place supported by Pat Phelan, Donal O'Mathuna and Sean Kinnane.
In the Masters race Phelim Glynn finished 4th overall and 1st over 40. Other results were Tommy McDonnell 2nd over 55 and Frank McKenna who had a super run finished 1st over 60.
In the team events Dunboyne finished 2nd over 35. The team was Phelim Glynn, Pat Phelan, Tony O'Neill and Sean Kinnane.
In the over 45 category Dunboyne finished 1st with Donal O'Mathuna, Michael Cornyn and Aidan Keegan. We also had a team in 3rd place with Seamus Dunne, Frank Fagan and Tommy McDonnell.

Berlin Marathon - 30th September, 2007
Paul Gorey was pleased with his time of 3.21.51 in the Berlin Marathon. The race was won by Heile Gebrselassie in a record breaking time of 2.04.26, taking 29 seconds off the record of friend and rival, Paul Tergat of Kenya, who ran 2.04.55 in this same event in 2003.
Cork to Cobh 15 Mile Road Race: - 30th September, 2007
Eileen Thoma had one of her best runs to date when she finished 3rd woman over 40.
Adidas Half-Marathon, Phoenix Park - 22nd September, 2007
Almost 2500 athletes including over a dozen members of Dunboyne A.C. competed in this event. Catherine Dunne finished 1st over35 and 4th woman overall in a time of 1.26.13. In the mens race Paul Moran was 17th overall and 3rd over 40.
World Masters Athletics Championships, Italy - 4th September, 2007 to 15th September, 2007
Three members of Dunboyne AC represented Ireland at the recent World Championships in Italy. Bobby King finished 13th in the 20k walk, 6th in the 10k walk and just outside the medals in 4th place in the 5k walk.
Michael Cornyn took part in the 400m and finished 6th in his heat.
Betty Cunningham finished 19th in the hammer event.

Adidas 10 Mile - Phoenix Park - 18 Aug 2007
In a big field of 3000 runners first home for Dunboyne was Paul Moran in 30th. Catherine Dunne was 9th woman overall and 3rd in her age category, Eddie Reid was 3rd in his age category. Also taking part and running well were Eileen Thoma, John Holian, Dennis Murphy and Emily Burke.
Castlepollard 5k - 15 Aug 2007
170 runners took part in the race and the Dunboyne contingent were led home by Morgan McDonagh who finished in 12th place in a time of 16:16. Catherine Dunne was the first home of the Dunboyne women in 7th place overall and 2nd over 35. Eddie Reid in a return to form finished 2nd over 50 and Eileen Thoma ran an excellent race to finish 3rd over 40. Tony O'Neill and Sean Conroy jnr also took part.

National Senior Championships - 21/22 Jul 2007
Patrick McCabe was seventh in the hammer with a throw of 43.37 m. Morgan McDonagh ran in the 1500 m and Rory McDonnell, finished 15th in the 5000 m in a personal best time of 15 minutes and 13 seconds.

The race was won by Rory McDonnell in a time of 15.31 beating former Junior International Mark Hoey into 2nd place.

Irish Mountain Running Association - Leinster League - Scarr, Co. Wicklow - 13th June 2007
In the IMRA Leinster League event Caroline Reid finished 2nd overall in the ladies event in a time of 43min 44sec. Well done.

Meath Road Relay Championships - Bohermeen, Navan - March 11th
A severely depleted team represented the club at the inaugural Meath road relay championships in Bohermeen, Navan on Sunday. Fourteen teams from six different clubs took part with most of the top county athletes in action. The race began at 12.30. The two mile leg produced a blistering 9:50 for Dunboyne man Rory McDonnell, but unfortunately Dunboyne faded out of contention in the 3rd and 4th leg. eventually finishing 3rd in Class C. The team of Rory McDonnell, Tommy McDonnell, William Levinston and Frank Fagan finished with a total time of 35:53.
Senior Inter-Club Cross-Country Championships - Sligo - March 10th
A depleted team of five Dunboyne athletes took part in the All-Ireland Senior Inter-Club cross-country championships in Sligo last Saturday. Top national senior athletes took part in the race that was won by Gary Murray of St. Malachy's AC in Northern Ireland.
Rory McDonnell had a fine run to finish in 28th place overall, one place ahead of last years winner Vinny Mulvey of Raheny. Morgan McDonagh in 70th, Declan Horgan in 90th, Eddie Prendergast in 103rd and Tony O'Neill in 105th were the other members of the Dunboyne team that finished 3rd in Division C ahead of Tullamore but behind winners Gowran of Co. Kilkenny and 2nd placed Tallaght.
February, 2007
National Indoor Master Championships - Nenagh 20-Jan
3k walk - 1st (V6) Bobby King. Another excellent result for Bobby in
a time of 15:08. Bobby remains undefeated at national level in his
category for 20 years.
200m - 4th (V7) Sean Conroy- A great run by club President Sean
which was just outside the medals by 4 hundredths of a second.
Also running in distinction for the club were Jimmy Henry, Noel
Duffy, Frank Fagan & Michael Cornyn
Leinster CC championships - Tinryland, Carlow - 21 -Jan
Ladies - Fiona Reid (7th) and Catherine Dunne (11th) were
members of Meath team who finished second behind Dublin.
Dunboyne were 5th club led by Fiona & Catherine, and also
including Caroline Reid (31st) and Laura Buckley (35th). This was
an excellent result for Dunboyne Ladies.
Men - Dunboyne were 11th club consisting of Rory McDonnell
(26th), Morgan McDonagh (55th), Declan Horgan (64th) and Donal
O'Mathuna [75ih)

Raheny Mile-28-Jan
A number of athletes from the club participated in this event, and
were led home by Catherine Dunne, who finished 8th individual
lady, and 1st lady 035 in an excellent time of 30.14.
All Ireland Intermediate & Masters CC - Santry 11 -Feb
A number of Dunboyne Athletes were selected for Meath teams

National Indoor Championships - Belfast 18-Feb
2 senior athletes competed in this event. Rory McDonnell ran in
the 3,000 meters, and finished with a PB of 8:50 in 12 place.
Morgan McDonagh ran a creditable 4:23 in the 1500 meters. Well done to both.
